I'm looking for an experienced pet-sitter for my 9-year-old Siberian Husky from Sunday 07 to Sunday 28 April 2013 (3 weeks). Someone who is able to spend most of the day at home with him (or take him out with you) would be perfect. He's completely house-trained (& lives inside with me), docile, gentle in nature & very gregarious. He loves company, & gets upset if left alone overnight. Our home is located 12 miles north of Beaufort, NC on a mile wide 'creek'. We have a canoe, 2 kayaks,and 2 bikes that can be used to explore the beautiful creeks and marsh areas that surround us.
Our county is called the Crystal Coast because of its beautiful Atlantic beaches.
The town of Beaufort is a small, quaint seaport town with an old historic district, phenomenal restaurants, boutique shopping, an active waterfront and the home of a top class Maritime Museum.
Across the high rise bridge is Morehead City with its History Place. Another bridge crosses Bogue Sound and the ICW and takes you to Atlantic Beach which is full of second homes, Fort Macon restoration and one of the North Carolina's Aquariums. Our home has a master bedroom and bath downstairs, a guestroom upstairs and an office with a hidabed upstairs. We have a fire place in the living room and inviting screened porches for coffee or meals or just hanging out in the hammock. We have a dock that goes out about 250 feet for fishing or crabbing and we have easy beach access for swimming or launching small boats. It is a very comfortable,casual home.

Cabin on 130 acres in picturesque bush setting. Property is isolated but is only a 10 minute drive to local shop,hotel etc. Only 10minute drive to beautiful Finch Hatton Gorge and Eungella. The property is home to rehabilitated wildlife; kangaroos, wallabies,etc. Wildlife will need to be checked on, ie water, grain etc. Some need to be fed milk bottle. It is not time consuming though, & plenty of time to see the local sites or just relax!

Your duties would be to take care of the dogs daily routine of feeding,walks & play,check for ticks, wash the dogs once a week & poop scoop the garden. OUR EXCHANGE In exchange we will give you your own space,a lovely large bedroom with a double bed (clean fresh linen provided if need be). Description: We live in a lovely 4 BR, 4 ½ BA 15 year old home on a quiet court backing to woods in a subdivision about 15 miles north of Washington D.C.
There are three floors, which include a family room, sunroom/living room, dining room kitchen with breakfast area, a large guestroom with its own bath(for you) and a new queen mattress, a theater room with a big screen TV, a new kitchen(great for cooks) and a deck opening on a fenced back yard with pretty gardens. The house is sunny and bright and full of windows. We have wi-fi. We have two wood burning fireplaces and free duraflame logs for you.
The neighbors are friendly and the neighborhood is safe and great for walking. We have pretty gardens in front and back and on the deck in case you like to garden. There are table/chairs on the deck (there is a grill out back), and benches to sit and enjoy the outdoors in the yard
In addition, there is an excercise bike and a treadmill in the rec room. There are 3 televisions with cable and nice, clean furniture throughout. There is a laundry room with a washer/dryer. We keep the house clean.
There are good restaurants, a movie complex, shopping, an arts and entertainment center with weekly shows and events, and a new library about 5 minutes away by car(about 3 miles).
There is also a large sports complex for playing and watching most team sports about 10 minutes away and just past it, pretty countryside for bicycling among horse farms and an agricultural preserve.
There is golfing and bowling nearby and two state parks with lakes for fishing in state parks minutes away. The parks have hiking paths and a dog park, picnic areas and are beautiful!
There is public transportation into D.C. in the form of the MARC train which runs into town (40 minutes) and back during respective morning and evening rush hours. There are also ride-on buses to the subway a few miles south to go into DC (or anywhere else), to all that the nation's capital has to offer.
We are also less than an hour from Sugarloaf mountain and hiking trails and several large and beautiful state parks.
There is a community center walking distance (1.5 miles or less) with an outdoor pool, and indoor exercise area and other amenities for a small fee.

Responsibilities: We need a live-in house and pet sitter or couple to stay at our home while we are away a few times a year for 2 - 4 weeks at a time but possibly a few months.
We have have 3 cat doors that are always open. So, there is no litter box to take care of.
You would have to feed our three cats and Sheltie, walk the dog around the neighborhood for about 10 - 15 minutes each day. play with the dog( in the house or out back) and cats each day and allow the dog to sleep on the floor in the bedroom with you.
It is not necessary to let the cats sleep on the bed - but they will if you let them!
We would discontinue the mail but keep the newspaper coming if you like to read it.
We also need the house and deck plants(except in winter) watered. If there is no rain each week, we would need the sprinklers put on the gardens(except in winter) in our yard which is not large. If you like to garden(except in winter) we have some areas planted with flowers that you could take care of if you'd like to.
In addition and only if you want , we keep two bird feeders that you can refill when they run out every week or so. They are attached to the deck and are easy to reach and fill and then you can watch the birds!
Requirements: We would like a responsible person or couple who has experience caring for a home and pets and loves cats and dogs.
References are necessary and a police check would be a plus.
A patient, level-headed personality and a mature outlook are best. A retired person or couple is ideal.
The person or couple would have to live at our house and usually be at home most of the day. An absence of around 6 hours or more on a regular basis would not be workable for our pets.

We live in a nice, quiet neighbourhood with friendly neighbours. The location of the home allows for easy access to the city centre, as well as the surrounding areas, such as beaches, parks and nearby golf courses. We have a cozy home with 2 gas fireplaces. We require people who are very cat friendly. Our 18 year old feline is in good health except for a bit of joint stiffness (as can be imagined). She is also an early riser for her breakfast, and does not take "later" as an option.
We are having a family holiday overseas in April and require a house sitter for four weeks to look after our two small dogs one beautiful cat and 7 chickens. We live in an older style single level but fairly modernised 3 bedroom home on just over an acre of land surrounded by fields but only 6 minutes from New Norfolk. It is close to a tourist attraction (Redlands Whisky Distillery). It is very quiet and peaceful with a fair amount of privacy. We would provide a small vehicle if needed for reasonable travel. We have a large 3D television and Austar but our internet is only ADSL and not that fast. We would prefer a mature person or couple to feed the animals collect (and use) the eggs. We are not too concerned about the gardening as we can always catch up with that in our return but any gardening would be appreciated. We are looking for someone to care for our pets and home while we're on a 2 week holiday. We have 1 dog, 1 cat, and 1 turtle! The turtle is fairly low maintenance, the cat is quite relaxed and the dog just loves company. We need someone who has experience with dogs - Daisy is a medium sized mixed breed from the SPCA but she is still young and a little silly at times. Mostly she's fine but if she's on a walk and sees something she wants (like a duck!) then she just wants to go and she is quite strong. Other than that she spends her day asleep on her couch! Our house is large, comfortable and has all the mod cons, no garden or lawn as we are in a bush setting.

Long Beach is about 8 minutes north of Batemans Bay. It is a beautiful area, lots of beaches, National parks, tourist areas.
Our home is on the ridge line and overlooks Long Beach itself and has a 180 degree unobstructed view of the ocean and the Tollgate Islands. It is two minutes drive to the beach or about 10 minutes walk. The area we live is in has new homes surrounding us and it is quiet. You will hear the bird life and see a multitude of kangaroos and wallabies jumping around. Batemans Bay is our closest shopping area and it has four large supermarkets, numerous speciality shops, cinema, Clubs and restaurants. It is about 8 minutes away by car, but Long Beach is on a bus route into Batemans Bay.
We have a little dog that needs extra loving care. She has been with us for 13 years so is very much a part of the family. She is a Chihuahua Fox Terrier cross (very placid) – so is about the size of a miniature Foxy (about 4.5kg), and we think she is very cute and affectionate. She loves nothing better than sitting on your lap, or being with you, eating food and lying in the sun. She is in good health and is not on any regular medications. She does have some pain medication if she starts to get too sore with arthritis. She also has a minor heart murmur that does not require any treatment. She does like going for little walks. She sleeps in our bedroom in her own bed, and she knows she is not to get on the beds, but this does not stop her trying and asking to get up and be cuddled.
Our home is modern and has five bedrooms and is two storied. There is a formal lounge and dining area, family room, kitchen, main bedroom with ensuite, large bedroom with two single beds, study, laundry and separate toilet, separate shower and separate hand basin are all on the top level. There are two bedrooms (one a double with ensuite) down stairs on the ground floor, along with the front door and double garage. Each bedroom has its own wardrobes. The kitchen has all new appliances, as does the laundry. The house is heated/ cooled by reverse cycle air conditioners. On the roof we have solar power that feeds back into the grid and does not power directly into the house. There is a steep drive from the road to the garage. The house is security alarmed. The house faces South East however the main living areas get sun all day long and there is a veranda that also captures the sun all day. There is a front deck that overlooks the sea and it is a nice area to sit for breakfast, afternoon coffee or drinks at the end of the day.
There is a large TV in the family room, we have internet and wi-fi , there is no land line to the house. Our mobile coverage, via Telstra and Optus, is generally good.
The garden generally will not need any watering as it has managed to survive without any watering for a number of years. The only real maintenance is lawn mowing in the back yard only and watering pot plants. Please note that the back lawn is on a slope.
We do prefer non smokers as we are non smokers ourselves. We do not mind a single person or a couple for house sitters, nor do we mind male or female, our wish is for you to care for our little dog and take care of our home. In that respect we would like to get updates via from our little dog on a regular basis.

We are looking for house sitters for a month from end January 2013. We are in a rural hamlet on the Devon/Cornwall border about 25 minutes drive from the open moorland of Dartmoor and Bodmin moor and 45 mins from the rugged north cornwall coast or the harbours and inlets of the south coast. There are good walks closer to home as well. We have one dog, a New Zealand Huntaway, three cats which live outdoors and three ducks. The dog needs at least an hour's walk every day, she is two years old, good natured, obedient but needs exercise. The cats need feeding in the morning and evening but otherwise we do not see them much. The ducks have to be let out of their shed by the pond and put back in at night.
The house is an old farmhouse with an Aga in the kitchen, wood burner in the sitting room, and several bedrooms. There is WIFI, a washing machine, washing up machine and central heating. Our neighbours normally house sit for us but cannot do it this time. They know the house and our animals almost as well as we do and would be on hand to help with any problems. They also have a small terrier which we look after for a day here and there and take for walks with our dog. There is a cleaning lady who comes once a week. You can Google the hamlet at PL178LN. The village with a good shop is one mile away, local pubs are both good. Tavistock is the nearest town, an old market town with a large weekly market. Driving time from Exeter is one hour and from London is about 4 hours.

Another bridge crosses Bogue Sound and the ICW and takes you to Atlantic Beach which is full of second homes, Fort Macon restoration and one of the North Carolina's Aquariums. Our home has a master bedroom and bath downstairs, a guestroom upstairs and an office with a hidabed upstairs. We have a fire place in the living room and inviting screened porches for coffee or meals or just hanging out in the hammock. We have a dock that goes out about 250 feet and easy beach access for small boats. It is a very comfortable,casual home.

I live in a safe and friendly small settlement about 8 minutes drive and 30 minutes bike ride from Bermagui, which is the closest town. It is about 20 mins drive to Narooma which has a fair range of shops and services and 50 mins drive to Bega which is the largest town in the area.
This is a beautiful area with lots of beaches, as well as bush walking and bike riding opportunities (I have 1 bike that you can use).
I live in a smallish 2 storey house with 2 double and one single bedroom, 2 bathrooms, study, brand new kitchen, living room, etc. From the back of the house it is about a 5 minutes walk through bush to the beach and from the front it is about the same distance to a largish, tidal, coastal lake. I leave my 2 kayaks (that you can use) beside the lake and the paddles and life jackets are in the garage. The kayaks are good for lake and river paddling, not the open sea.
The house is set in a mostly native plant garden with large trees along the southern boundary. There is a fully netted vegetable garden - to keep out the possums and the birds that like to raid vegie gardens. You are welcome to use the vegie garden. The garden had been designed to attract birds - and does. The garden does not require much maintenance but will need some watering during the summer if it does not rain.
I have a 13 year old border collie dog who loves people, and is OK with dogs - I think she thinks that she is a person. She is a very gentle dog who loves walks. But now she is not up to long walks and an amble to the beach (which she loves) or around the point is what she likes.

We are looking for a trustworthy, non-smoking couple to look after our house and animals while we are away. Our house is on a lifestyle block. By car it takes about 25 minutes to the city centre of Tauranga. We have stunning views to Mt. Maunganui, Papamoa and the Pacific. It is a 4 year old home on one level only. We share our property with 12 alpacas and 9 chooks. They are easy to be looked after. Fresh water supply, some pellets for the alpacas and food for the chooks. The lawn needs to be mown (ride on mower)and the garden sometimes needs weeding. The Spa Pool needs a weekly treatment and also after using it. Rotorua with its thermal activities is an hours drive away; Huka Falls 1.5 hours, Waitomo Caves would be a day trip. We also have very nice and caring neighbors on our "hill". Sounds good? We need a mature, responsible, reliable, tidy house sitter or couple for our cowboy country large log home on 42 acres. The home is heated with a large central wood furnace which when filled with wood will last 12 hours. We also have an electric furnace for heating when the wood furnace is off. We have a large stone fireplace in the livingroom. The livingroom windows overlook the front field, the trees and hillside. For entertainment we have a 42 inch flat screen t.v. with cable a DVD player and many dvds. We have a computer with internet with satellite service. The house is less than 1 mile to a convenience store and gas station. We have 2 bathrooms and 3 bedrooms, all 3 bedrooms are upstairs and are large with large windows, the bedroom on the east side faces the river and has a small patio, you can hear the river while you are sleeping, the bedroom on the west side has very soothing views over the front field, the bedroom on the north side faces the front yard, driveway and comforting bush area. The large kitchen dining area overlook the trees and the beautiful clean river that we swim in during the summer months. We we have 1 beautiful female French Bulldog, she has an outstanding trustworthy temperament. We live in an area with many deer and other wildlife. We have a tractor for clearing the driveway of snow, however, we also have a neighbour that will do the driveway. This area is the favorite location for "Cat skiing" and "Heli skiing" during the winter months. We also have lots of areas to do snowshoeing and crosscountry skiing. Downhill skiing on Silver Star Mountain in Vernon is 1 hours drive away.

What we are looking for in a house sitter?
We are looking for a mature, reliable couple (sorry -no children) who wants to spend some relaxing time in Hawaii caring for our elderly dog, Freida, and our puppy, Cleo, while we are away on vacation. Must enjoy indoor dog companionship and have experience caring for dogs.
What responsibilities will our house sitter have?
The ideal candidate will be a dog owner (or former owner) who has experience with all aspects of dog care. Duties would include 2 walks a day followed by feeding. They should have no problems with dog baths (if necessary) or giving pills to dogs. Freida weights about 30# and often needs to be carried up and down one flight of stairs. Cleo will be about 14 months during these dates and requires lots of puppy supervision. She is completely housetrained but demands much attention.
Other responsibilities include bringing in the mail & newspaper, and possibly watering a few plants.

We have a beautiful mud-brick home in the peaceful village of Ulong on the Eastern Dorrigo Plateau 45 mins west of Coffs Harbour. Ideally looking for a couple to look after our home while we decide on whether a temporary move to Canberra will become permanent. The home is a two bedroom mud brick house with an open plan style. We have three tom cats (which are friendly, but mostly outside), a spacious garden and the house is inviting, generous sized, cosy, and quiet. When we are home we love to go to the beach, as there are plenty of beautiful beaches to choose from. We travel alot, and we are always in need of help with doggie care and house sitting.
HELP NEEDED We would love a happy independent person/couple to come and stay in our home while we are away to love and care for our 3 old dogs. Your duties would be to take care of the dogs daily routine of feeding,walks & play,check for ticks, wash the dogs once a week & poop scoop the garden. Also if you could please water the plants & mow the garden when needed (wintertime may not need to). Plus general clean & tidy of our home.
OUR EXCHANGE In exchange we will give you your own space,a lovely large bedroom with a double bed (clean fresh linen provided if need be). This room is away from the main house and has views of the farm. Bathroom & kitchen are in the main house. We also have a laundry for you to do your own washing.
RECREATION We live on a beautiful property and you can go on walks up to the Dam. When there has been rain the dam is good for swimming. We have internet access, cable tv & lots of DVD movies to keep you entertained.
TRANSPORT We live rural on the Pocket rd so having your own car is a MUST. Our local town is Mullumbimby (10-15mins). The nearest beach-Brunswick Heads (10-15mins).

Hi. I am looking for house sitters for 3 months (25 April till 17 July 2013). Comfortable 3 bedroom (2 single) home ; private ; about 10 minutes from Motueka and 45 minutes from Nelson. Half acre section with established garden and nice vegetable area, and small paddock at the back with 2 sheep (to keep the grass short) and a few chickens. I had been away this year too, but the house sitters who were here had other commitments, and because of that are unable to house sit here again. That is why I am looking again for someone to enjoy (nearly) 3 months in this little piece of paradise.
