Back to basics house sitting holiday
We own a 34 acre organic permaculture property in the Noosa Hinterland with cows, geese, chickens, goats and dogs. We need a house sitter or sitters who are undaunted by looking after (well behaved) farm animals, and who enjoy potting around in the garden (just some possible watering and maybe some weeding if you're keen!). Our flourishing vegie garden produces a lot of food which you are more than welcome to eat during your stay. There are no cigarettes, drugs, alcohol or chemicals allowed on the property, since we are aiming to have a closed cycle on the property (produce and re-use everything on the property). Accommodation would be in a cabin or caravan of your choice, with use of our communal covered outdoor kitchen and living area. There is TV and DVD player in the living area (no commercial tv though!). Bathrooms have wood fired water heaters and composting toilets. There is WIFI available on the property, but no mobile service. There is a beautiful dam for you to swim in. This property is in a quiet area, ideal for people who would like a quiet Christmas and New Year's holiday, and who would like to experience going back to basics. We also need to ask for a day of your time prior to the 19th to show you animal routines and feeding and to walk you through everything.
