Two worlds in one

Ajijic (ah-hee-HEEK)in the state of Jalisco is one of the largest ex-pat retirement destinations. The biggest drawback: Everyone speaks English. The biggest bonus: Everyone speaks English. My home is two floors with about 2,300 sq ft. Two bedrooms and 3 baths. Big kitchen, dining room, living room and office. Yes, I have a maid. There is an outdoor sitting area that looks over a large garden. Yes, I have a gardener. I may be Mexico but I have American satellite TV and high speed internet (wi-fi). A quiet rural setting 7 minutes to town with a bus stop 2 blocks away. The house needs very little attention but my cat, Foxy, is a love bug and needs to be the focus of attention occasionally during a day. He gets very vocal if he gets ignored. This Mexican village sits on the edge of Lake Chapala and is famous for having the world's best climate. There are so many gringos here we have a club or group for just about any activity you can think of. But it is still very Mexican with caballeros riding horses on the streets and early morning fishermen out on the lake in their little boats bringing in their daily catch. It truly is the best of two worlds, the USA and Mexico in one place.
