House & Pet Sit in ocean view home for Christmas
Beautiful Laguna Beach cottage home, up in the hills with view of the ocean, over Christmas: Dec 20 - 28
****We had posted this ad a month ago and had booked someone, but unfortunately they cancelled so need to find someone new ASAP!***
We have a beautiful open, airy cottage-style home in Laguna Beach along with a cute & playful indoor kitty named Panther! We need 1 or 2 people who can housesit and enjoy our home as their own for the holidays.
ABOUT OUR HOME: - On a very quiet street up on the hill - 1400 sq ft w ocean view from front deck & kitchen - Dark hardwood floors - Vaulted, beam ceilings w big skylights - Lots of natural light - Carved wood daybeds & cabinets from India and items from Thailand/Bali - Gas & natural wood fireplace - Stainless steel gas stove in kitchen, stainless fridge - Guest bedroom with luxury Queen-sized bed and organic bamboo bedding, huge skylight in room above bed to watch the stars and moon - Large private deck with white daybeds, abundant tropical plants, veggie and herb garden - Sacred altars, Buddha & Goddess statues, and crystal grids all over the home - High speed WiFi internet (bring a laptop) - NOTE: there is no TV (we download movies or shows online)
****My husband and I are both energy medicine practitioners (healers) so take great care to maintain a deeply restful, healing, and beautiful energy in our home. It's a wonderful space for meditation or yoga. We ask whoever stays here to rest and enjoy the beautiful energy and care for the property as their own. Use it as we do to relax, meditate, or connect with nature. ****
ABOUT THE AREA: Laguna Beach is well known for its beautiful beaches, turquoise waters, abundant galleries, shopping, and restaurants. December is usually warm and sunny here! Our home is less than a 4 min drive down the hill to be at the beach and all the restaurants, stores, galleries, etc.
ABOUT OUR KITTY: Panther is a small *indoor-only* cat who was a rescue. She is super loving, very vocal, and LOVES to play. She is great with strangers after the first few hours. She sleeps most of the day but is very active in the mornings and evenings. We have trained her to go on a leash outside on the patios, which she loves to do.
WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR: A wonderful, happy, low-key and trustworthy soul (or couple) who can enjoy our home for the wonderful energy that is here, while caring for our cat & plants.
You must be able to arrive early morning on the 20th before we leave, or ideally meet us the day PRIOR to get a tour of the home, meet Panther, etc. We return late evening on the 28th. Please contact us with a bit about you, references, etc.
STAY DETAILS: - Towels, linens, etc. will be provided, or you can bring your own. - You will need to stock your own groceries, but use of kitchen cooking items are provided (oils, seasonings, etc). - Our master bedroom is *not* to be used and will not be accessible. Only the large guest bedroom (1 queen bed) will be available, with its own large bathroom. - There is a 3rd spare bedroom/office that has a comfortable sofa that can be slept on or large carpeted area where a blow-up mattress could be placed for an additional person or a child if need be.
