Seeking cat lover to care for peaceful mountain home
I'm looking for a house sitter to care for my two indoor-outdoor cats for ten weeks this winter, January 20 to March 30, 2013. The dates can be a bit flexible. This is a comfortable modern home on 7 acres of forested land on the eastern slopes of the Rocky Mountains in southern Alberta. It is near the ski area of Castle Mountain Ski Resort, and about an hour's drive from Fernie, BC. There is excellent cross-country skiing in the area. My 2 cats need to be fed and have their litter box cleaned; other than some petting, nothing else is required as there is a cat door allowing them to come and go as they please. This place is ideal for someone who loves peace and quiet in beautiful, natural surroundings. The house has wi-fi, satellite TV, a fireplace, a piano, and room for one vehicle in the garage. In addition to pet care, the sitter may need to have the driveway plowed, and perhaps have water delivered ( details on request).
